The weekend

We do art on Fridays and this lesson was fun for the kids. They drove their cars through paint and made lovely patterns on paper!

I made a fun snack for the kids with their favourite foods - carrots, peas, chicken, home-made bottled beetroot and cucumber!

Callyn ate his eyes first!

My Two Favourite Toys!

These are my two favourite toys - My Kindle and My Blackberry!

And they are matching - I'm going through a pink phase which I guess is Jordy's influence.

I have had my kindle for a few months and I am loving it. I have read about 20 books. And Donovan surprised me with a Blackberry today! I have been trying to learn how to use it all afternoon! It is amazing!

So Moms can also have toys!

Jordy fell asleep like this and almost fell off the bed! She's actually fallen off a few times so now I pile all her soft toys at the end of her bed like a wall of toys!

GRADE 1

Callyn started Grade 1 this year! He wrote his first spelling test on Friday and got full marks! Well done my big boy!

Jordy has a new cossie!

Russ, this is for you - I really am a hoarder! This is your project from Standard 6!!!!!! I wonder why I have it! It's moved 8 times! (Durbs, East London and Bloem!)

Hair cut!

Callyn was so good whilst having his hair cut today. I actually wanted it a bit shorter but the hairdresser was busy with another client at the same time so next time we'll go a bit shorter!

I found Jordy sitting in her wooden box surrounded by her friends and reading a book!

Callyn had so much fun with his microscope today. He went outside with his collection bottles and gathered a few samples. We put them on slides and had a look!

Rain!

On New Year's day we had so much rain (actually for the last 2 weeks and it is still raining!). The kids played in the puddles and rivers in the road. It looks like Milner Road turned into a river!

Painting and Sleeping

The kids have done a bit of painting these holidays.
