Holmeleigh Farm and the beach

When we arrived in PE the kids wanted to go to the beach as the last few days had been rainy. So we quickly unpacked and headed off to Summerstrand. It was pretty chilly but it didn't stop the Free Staters from swimming!

The next day we went to Holmeleigh Farm where the kids had fun playing on the old boat and the jungle gyms. They also fed the animals and Callyn had to hold just about every bunny!

An afternoon with the van der Walts!

We had a fantastic afternoon with Desma, Johan, Kara and Nadia. The girls played so nicely with Callyn and Jordy so that Desma and I could catch up!

Addo Elephant Park

We spent a lovely day at Addo and saw many ellies and warthogs. Callym enjoyed ticking off all the birds and animals that we spotted. Carol made us a yummy picnic lunch that we enjoyed at a picnic spot near Exhibition Centre.

Callyn LOVED fishing with Grandpa!

We spent 4 hours at Strawberry Fields where the kids just played and played until they got hungry and after a quick lunch they played some more!

Braaing with Granny and Grandpa was also a big hit!

Nahoon Beach

We spent a lovely day with Heidi and Gizelle at Nahoon Beach. The kids had so much fun jumping off the sand dune and playing with a dog who like to play "fetch"!

We had to have last visit to the beach before we left but we were the only people on the beach at 8:30am! Schools started that day! The day before, we went to the aquarium and enjoyed the seal show!
