Callyn's 8th Birthday Party

We celebrated Callyn's birthday early as rain is expected for the weekend and we had planned on a swimming party! He wanted a Titanic cake as he is obsessed with the Titanic and has read many books and magazines and has watched the movie several times!

Oops, one of the funnels is leaning over!

He loves his very simple "mommy" cake!

Party packs and juice for the thirsty boys!

 Callyn loves lighting candles!

Happy Boys!

Happy Family!

Callyn cut the first slice......and the rest! Those hungry boys devoured more than half the cake and cake back for seconds  - must like the marshmallow fondant and chocolate cake!

Callyn is a very lucky boy as one of his friends, Ross, gave him a Razor!!!! He loves the battery operated scooter and tells me he is waking up at 6am tomorrow to ride it!

The boys spent an hour shooting each other with water pistols!

Even young Laurence  joined in the fun!

We were so happy that Kirsten and her Mom could join us. I taught Kirsten from Grade 10 until Grade 12 and she was in a very bad car accident a few months ago. She spent 6 weeks in hospital and was on a respirator for over a week. She is still on crutches as she had a huge pelvic operation but we are just so grateful she is alive. She is recovering well but it will take time. She had to have her hair shaved on one side because of the drain in her head so when she was off the respirator and could speak she asked for all her hair to be shaved off as her long hair that was left was in one big knot! I admire Kirsten for being so brave and so positive!

October and November

We went to Parys about a month ago and stayed at a lovely guest house with a big pool and huge garden. The kids had so much fun that weekend!

Dress up for Jordy and baby Jordy!

On Monday I noticed a purple carpet further up the street ! The Jacarandas are flowering beautifully so I took the kids for a play in the flowers!
