Holidays!
We have had an amazing holiday at home! The weather has been stunning and the kids have had many friends to play and have also been to other friends houses to play so I have had a real break! And of course with Granny and Grandpa here for a week, I have had plenty of time to myself as the kids don't want us around when G and G are here!
Callyn and Jordy gave Granny and Grandpa a foot and hand massage when they arrived. Callyn loves cleaning feet!
Christmas
We had a fairly big dinner on Christmas Eve and then the leftovers on Christmas Day!
While I was cooking dinner on Christmas Eve, Donovan took his motorbike for a spin around the block as he hadn't ridden it for 5 months. He rode in a park down the road and some idiot turned off the road, ramped the pavenment and drove into the park (hundreds of people from the locations come and braai every weekend and public holidays). The gut didn't see Donovan so he had to swerve to miss him and he fell, luckily on the grass. When he got home I took him to casualty where he had x-rays taken, his ankle strapped up and his roastie cleaned and bandaged. We went back to the doctor yesterday and now he has his leg in a cast for 4 weeks. A bone chip as been pulled off by a ligament so keep things stable and for healing to occur faster, the cast was the best option!
Sparklers!
The long awaited lego harbour!
They both got lilos as well!

Colin's 50th at Camp Unity
Camp Unity is on a farm next to Colin and Noelyn's farm so Colin had his 50th birthday there and we all slept over. The kids had a ball and we hardly saw them all evening as they were playing with their friends!
They loved this lovely long passage in the huge farm house which sleeps about 50 people!
Callyn played volley ball with the big kids and took it very seriously!
Jordy loved this little donkey........
........ and so did the other child!
The tug of war was also a huge hit!
Christmas Lights
The other night we took a drive to look at all the Christmas lights in town and people's houses! It's always a highlight for the kiddies as they get to stay up late!
Callyn always enjoys a back and arm tickle!

Harvesting
If the driver gets up off his chair, the harvester stops - it senses that there is no one on the seat!
The field is about 2km long so Jordy, Mienke and Mari go out after one trip there and back and Callyn and I stayed for an extra trip! He wanted to stay in it all day but we had to leave!

There is also an amazing play area for kids. There are little wooden wendy houses. One is the police office, one a hospital and the last one is a house set up with a play kitchen, bed, cupboards etc. Needless to say the kids had ball and I had to nag them to go home! Callyn would love to live on a farm!
I have known Sarie for about 9 years as we met at Nautilus Maths where we were both teachers. It is held once a term at Grey College for all the kids who are Maths boffs. We were each assigned a class where we coached the kids before they wrote a big exam. We were paid really well so did it willingly! I stopped doing it when Callyn was a few months old and then she had her first child, Mienke. We met up again at Mothers and Miracles when the kids were babies and then again at Kindermusic and also at ballet! It's amazing how we make friends through our children!

The Party
The pinata! Callyn and I made it and it took about 3 weeks to make!
Jordy and baby Caleb. He is exactly 2 years younger but the same height!
Monique! I taught Monique from Gr 7 to Gr 12 and she is now 23 and engaged. Monique has been to 6 out of 7 Callyn's birthday parties and she visits often. She is also our baby sitter!
Shaun, Monique's fiance.

It was too windy for candles but we sang anyway!

Callyn is having so much fun with his real tools from the Pattersons.
Water World! The lazy river was lovely.
These were a bit scary for me but I tried 2 of them! The first time I took Callyn with me as I was too scared to go alone. He was not impressed with my screaming!
