The Treasures

Joel chose 2 pendants - Mom wore them both a lot. He also chose a wooden springbok and a name badge with "Lyn Engelke" on it. He wants to give his Dad something special but he said his Dad would probably cry!

Jubi chose this bracelet as well as sunglasses, a wallet with an old safe key and some old money inside, an old parker pen that mom always used, soap, a keyring and a few other things.

Abby chose this silver necklace with a blue pendant that we bought in Austria in 1981. She also chose 2 gold necklaces with pendants, some rings, bracelets, moms 21st wooden key, a cigarette box that mom got for her 21st. It still has a little note inside that says it is from Kathy (Kettle), mom's best friend then.

They have been looking at their treasures for ages and have been quite sentimental and emotional! We are going to buy little boxes to store these precious items in and they are going to write what they know about Granny Engelke. They have promised to look after their treasures and pass them down to their children one day
