We went on our church camp this weekend to River of Joy. It is about 20km from our home. We stayed in a lovely chalet and the grounds are beautiful. There is plenty of space for the kids to play and a lovely hall for our meetings. The kids had so much fun and we didn't see Callyn all weekend as he played with his good friend, Michael, all weekend! He didn't even surface to eat - we had to call him!
Our guest speakers were Mark and Collette from Johannesberg. they used to live in Ballito and led a church there and now they have a church in Jhb.
It was Vicky-Lee's birthday party and all the kids were so excited! The cake was made by her big brother, Matthew, who is 17. It was delicious! The icing was marshmallow fondante - it even tastes good!
Jordy loves "baby Caleb"! She has always called him that as we have another Caleb in our church who is "big Caleb"! Baby Caleb is exactly 2 years younger than Jordy but he is almost as tall but Jordy treats him like a little brother and always holds his hand and looks after him!! It's too cute! In the bottom middle picture, Caleb is kissing his big sister, Jenna, and on the left he is kissing Jessie!
Russ: Craig & Collette - legends!! I joined Craig and a small team (Jakes etc) on a ministry trip to Lesotho years ago. Remember driving Craig's car somewhere near Ficksberg and having a blowout on the front trye - worked hard to bring that car full of blokes to a stop safely. Glad you had time with them and trust it was a great camp - they're always good for the whole church!!
