Experi Buddies

Today, Callyn, Jordy, Ross and Vicky-Lee started Experi Buddies. It is held once a week for half an hour and the teachers name is Suzaane. Today they learnt about Einstein and chemical reactions.

They had so much fun and were so excited! Callyn couldn't stop talking to the teacher and was full of confidence!

Little Miss Einstein! I actually think she looks like a doctor!

And Little Mr Einstein - I think he looks like a professor!

The best was the floating tea bag! The teacher took a tea bag, snipped off the ends and lit the top. It burnt and then lifted up into the air! They couldn't wait to try it on our tea bags but we had the wrong ones so tomorrow I must buy Liptons Earl Grey with the tags!

I love the looks on their faces!

Nicky and Ian

Nicky and I have been friends since Std 2!

We went to Pretty Gardens for lunch and first checked out the huge Koi fish. they are so tame and suck on your fingers!

Callyn loved helping Ian take the flat wheel off the car and he also helped put on the spare and then put on the fixed wheel!

Callyn and Jordy love swimming at the bottom of the pool!

Nicky and Ians Visit

This is at Emoya Estate in Bloemfontein. these shanty houses are actually "chalets" for visitors. They are really nice and modern inside!

Callyn loves wearing Donovan's moon boot! the torn ligaments are healing nicely but still a few weeks before the foot is strong enough to go without the boot all day.

I had fun plaiting Jordy's hair!

During church, Callyn and Elvis amused themselves by doing a word search.

A new year

A Class Photo - Gr 2 and Gr R

They love the sprayers!

Posted by PicasaOur neighbours found a bunny in their garden last night and thought it might be ours. We offered to look after it as their big dog wanted to eat it. Callyn and Jordy played with it for a while and then I put a found notice up on our tree outside. This morning a young guy phoned and said it was their rabbit. They live opposite us! The kids were sad but I was relieved as I wassn't sure if our bunny would like it and I certainly don't want baby bunnies ina  few weeks!

Never a dull moment......

Donovan took his bike around the block as he hasn't ridden it in months and when he was riding in the park, a car turned off the road, rode up the pavenment and into the park, in front of Donovan. He had to swerve and went down a ditch and wiped out! He managed to ride home as the bike didn't stall and then I took him to casualty. The x rays showed that a chip of bone had pulled away but the doctor strapped him up and told him to see his GP on the 28th. She also put these special patches on the roasties! (This happened on the 24th, while I was cooking Christmas dinner!!!!)

So we went to David on Wednesday and he suggested a cast as the foot was very painful. So now he is on crutches for 4 weeks.

But maybe this was a blessing as Donovan has really relaxed these holidays and he has read almost 3 books already (He never reads books!). We have also had lovely family time together. And he has been listening to a lot of music. I bought him a new Casting Crowns and the Paul Baloche Special Edition and Third Day's Christmas album!

And today my special boy lost his third tooth - well he didn't actually lose it this time (he swallowed the last one!). He looks so cute but he is so shy and didn't want to open his mouth at church and the church picnic today! He is hoping the tooth mouse comes tonight.
