Last Day in Bloem for the Engelkes!

Donovan brought us Koeksisters today! Abby, Joel and Jubi didn't know what they were but they enjoyed them!

Callyn has been very clingy with his cousins today!

Oliewenhuis! There is an art gallery inside and wonderful big gardens around the building.

Oliewenhuis and more....

Oliewenhuis has this wonderful carousal so the children had 2 rides each on it!

These pieces of art are not to be touched or sat on - of course all kids want to ride on them!

An unusual seat!

Even more unusual!!

My kids love playing on and in this frog!

Joel is riding this bike so well!

And so is Abby!

Abby used the face paint that was given to us free at the show yesterday!

The Bloemfontein Show

Today we left home at 9:30 and got home at 5:40pm! It was a long day at the show but a lot of fun! I held a lizard!

Slushies, icecream, mini donuts and a coke for me - I needed the sugar!

This was Abby's favourite! Abby, Joel, Jubi and Jordy went for rides on the camels. Callyn will go with his Daddy next week!

The first bag of candy floss. They all had another bag on the way out but saved it for after supper!

Joel helped Callyn with the paintball gun!

Joel loved this!

Cars, quads and scooters!

Posted by PicasaMilitary museum - the boys loved the tanks - Joel is really into guns, swords, knives and tanks!

They loved the bunnies!

Jordy loves Jubi to carry her and .....

....this is how Joel carries Callyn! (Callyn has been hugging Abby all day!)

Jordy was upset because she got lost for a few seconds - the third time that day! She always looks to Callyn for sympathy!  I think I need to buy her a leash!

The train ride around the showgrounds was lovely and great value for money!

Carry me Joel!

Tea cups - I almost passed out!

Octopus - very scary for me but not for Jordy who decided to let go of the bar and almost give me a heart attack!

Abby was so kind to look after Jordy on the horses!

Big jolly jumper! Callyn didn't like it much and was a bit scared!

This is more his scene! Sweet boy!

Sad

We have two very sad children tonight. After I had read them a story in Callyn's bed we were chatting about the rest of the week and they found out that on Saturday their cousins would be leaving. They both started crying and are now very sad! They have all got on so well and the big children have been so patient with the little ones and have played with them so much. It's also been so special for me to have long chats with Abby, Joel and Jubi especially at bed time! They LOVE to chat before bed! I'm going to miss that!

This and That!

This was taken at the movies when we went to see Rango a few weeks ago!

Popcorn, slushie and chocolate!

It was freezing today so we didn't go for a walk with the dogs like we intended to do.... so.......Abby curled up with a  book! She read a whole book the other night!

Jubi and Joel played in Jordy's room for a while!

Joel REALLY likes the paint ball gun! He hasn't shot with it....yet!

Joel rode the bike alone today!!!!! I was out with Abby. Donovan said he rode like a star! And he said Jubi also rode with him holding the back of the bike and then he took Joel on the big bike!

I took Abby to another place of safety and this was a place for babies - new borns to 18 months. It is run by 2 ladies who live there -Charmaine and Liezl. The have 8 babies at the moment. They have either been abondoned, given up for adoption or neglected. It is a lovely clean place filled with lots of love. The ladies love the babies and give them loads of attention and affection! Abby held this little 4 week old baby for ages! The babies are so sweet and the toddlers laughed and smiled all the time! They were beautifully dressed and had lovely warm blankets. I was really impressed with the place. A friend of mine got her little boy from the same place last year.
